Is It Good For Warts To Bleed

Ecomusic with JACK JOHNSON (Interview with Ali C & C)

Music is often an excellent vehicle for messages. Of different types, of course. There are singers who speak about politics, others that speak of social problems, and so on.

Jack Johnson brings sun, sea e. .. environment. Why I like and I want to let you know.
But to tell you about him, I called Alex, one of a number of fans of JJ, a friend, a wonderful success for the blogger fashionblog Cool & Contagious .

I hope you enjoy this interview, as much as I like it:)

Alessandra Hello! First of all, my best compliments for your blog.
As you know, I contacted another of your great qualities: that of being a fan of Jack Johnson.
You want to talk briefly with him and that he struck you listening his music and following your character?

Jack, born in 1975, is a Hawaiian doc, a surfer son d 'art, which unfortunately (or fortunately!) Is forced to abandon racing to' start of professional career because of a serious accident during a race. He arrived in California, where he graduated in film and began shooting films and videos related to the theme of surfing, for which he also wrote the music. From there it was an instant success: his films began to receive awards and Jack decided to concentrate on music. For the rest, his fifth album can speak for itself. If I had to describe Jack Johnson I would say in one word: genuine. E 'away from the star system, it seems only interested in playing, surfing, being with his family. At concerts, he kept the same 2.3-shirt and flip flops. It 's also a great cool, exciting and has a voice is a master with the' ukulele, an instrument that I love.

remarkable so far ... but we continue.
It 's true that Jack Johnson is committed to eco? And what is your commitment?

Jack is the number one commitment to the 'environment . He founded the Kokua Hawai'i Foundation wife to support 's education all 'environment in schools Hawaiian. Then there is All at once, green portal that brings together 150 non-profit organizations and through the social network drives to be agents of change of the overall situation by supporting two main campaigns: Sustainable Local Food Systems and Plastic Free Initiatives (planted a garden and stop using plastic bottles!)
not happy, Jack, also gives tours of its profits (which are very low impact on 'environment, thanks to' use of alternative energy) and getting rewards the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation , which promotes' music education, art and respect for the environment.
last thing: Jack recorded his album in his studies The Mango Tree, Hawaii and The Solar Powered Plastic Plant, Los Angeles, both solar-powered.
E 'or not cool? The phenomenon of climate change is very close to the heart. That end could make the waves a few years?

E 'absolutely cool! It is good to take care of his beloved waves!
On the occasion of the "To The Sea", his last album, was released a limited version of the disc .... someone has said that you have it ... you like to describe it?

one that has me (a true bull's birthday) is the "Summer Fun Pack" a 'limited edition merchandise eco-friendly (there are only 500) that contains: cd "To the sea, a beach towel and a bag of organic cotton canvas and my favorite piece, a bottle / water bottle aluminum to replace the plastic water bottles.

I would like to ask you a question related fashionblogger your being, and very expert in all that is ... cool and contagious. Do you think you will be able to reconcile the ethical / environmental concerns with everything that a glamorous lifestyle? Do you think these two worlds intersect succeed in permanently? And finally, have you noticed a significant reflection, or the beginning of a new route, from the environment of fashion?

There are many brands that are engaging in 'eco-fashion: most designers are emerging that make the re-use or' s use of plant fiber of the strengths of their collections.
But even the big brands are beginning to devote part of their efforts to creations eco-friendly: Adidas, with Grun, featuring shoes and clothes in natural fibers and recycled materials; Vivienne Westwood, who paraded the eco-bottles (like mine!) produced Sigg ; Oscar de la Renta and Diane Von Furstenberg utilizing bamboo and coconut for their fabrics; Alanis Morissette who created Reco Jeans, a line of recycled jeans. Even
shopping online helps those who want to respect the 'environment. Yoox , the giant 's e-commerce, has a section all green, which is called YOOXYGEN , full of ideas and tips on how to live in an environmentally friendly fashion.
The interesting thing is that more and more actors / singers / characters are actively engaged in the show biz and first-person action in defending the 'environment and have a very important role to testimonial, which, hand in hand with the' commitment of the big brands is beginning to raise up in a new fashionistas awareness. We at C & C fully support this trend, and we must say that the side "echo" of the stars helping to make them more sexy and interesting, "beautiful and good" as our grandmothers would say!
And we do not exclude the fact that to do good 'environment is a' good excuse to go shopping;)

Thanks Ale!
I hope that your intervention in a ecoblog face the desire to increase respect for the environment, even by those who usually sees the issue as a huge waste of time!

Our Ale and "his" JJ are obviously APPROVED!
